Spring Break is always a long awaited vacation for most high school students. It signifies the halfway point of the semester and usually comes with a welcomed change in weather, as well as a break from the normal school day schedule. Luke and some guys from Millington and Bolton went to Arkansas for the weekend with a couple guys from Central High School and their leader Stephen. It was a great time getting to know one another and having some fun shared experiences!
We had tons of fun enjoying a cabin in the mountains, playing card games, sharing meals together, getting to hear each other's stories around the camp fire, and going on adventures together. We went to Blanchard Springs and Blanchard Springs Caverns for a fun outing outdoors and underground. Most had never been in a cave or hiking before! We also braved the cold waters of the river behind the cabin and went for a swim down some rapids! Jamal and Deiontrez had their first s'more as well.
At our last meal together, we talked about the Prodigal Son, his elder brother, and their father and how we fit in that story and how seeing God as a perfect Father changes our view of Him. We are continually leading kids to Jesus and hopeful that they will see how loved they are and the abundant life that awaits them in Him. Thanks for reading!
